Architectural Marvel

Designed by DP Architects in collaboration with Michael Wilford & Partners, the Esplanade officially opened its doors on October 12, 2002. The structure features two domes adorned with over 7,000 triangular aluminum sunshades, giving it a spiky appearance reminiscent of the durian fruit—a beloved delicacy in Southeast Asia.
